KQED is for everyone
who wants to be more.

KQED serves the people of Northern California with a community-supported alternative to commercial media. We provide citizens with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions, convene community dialogue, bring the arts to everyone and engage audiences to share their stories.

Our Company Culture

At KQED, we celebrate diversity, embrace innovation and value lifelong learning. We don’t shy away from difficult discussions. We’re about building relationships, building each other up and enjoying each others’ company (ice cream socials or impromptu dance parties, anyone?). We bring our full selves to work everyday and know that KQED wouldn’t be the same without each of us.

Over 350 employees support KQED’s mission in areas such as News, Arts, Science, TV, Radio, Membership, Development, Marketing, Product, Design, Software Engineering, Education, Finance, Administration, HR, Legal and Facilities. KQED is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer that proudly pursues and hires a diverse workforce.
